YAKINIKU, meaning “grilled meat”, is a Japanese term that, in its broadest sense, refers to grilled meat cuisine. “YAKINIKU” originally referred to western “Barbecue” food. Today, “YAKINIKU” commonly refers to a Japanese style of cooking bitesize meat (usually beef and offal) and vegetables on gridirons or griddles over a flame of wood charcoals carbonized by dry distillation or a gas/electric grill. In many parts of the world, YAKINIKU is also commonly referred to as “Japanese Barbecue”.
Most of restaurants put “bite-size meat” on plate and serve it only. People eat it after grilled by themselves.
It was our common sense until FUTAGO opens in Tokyo…

During the popular lunch, only a small but divine selection of ramen is available, accompanied by a rich tonkotsu broth. The thing that sets a meal apart at this Japanese jewel is the stunning beef quality – cuts like black Wagyu or Hamideru kalbi are fantastically creamy, bold in meaty flavors and rich with fatty notes. 5. HAMIDERU KALBI

The Ribroast Part of the Black Wagyu Kalbi that’s cut into steak size. This meat contains around 8oz. per serving and recommended is with Sangchu lettuce. This item amongst customers and could only be obtained through reservations.
